Karil's is better but only very marginally so it's probably not worth using over d'hide once you facotr in repair costs. mage def barely matters at zulrah since the only magic damage you take is from the mage snakelings, and karil's range defense is barely better than black d'hide (+4 total from top and bottom)Honest question.
